Privacy Policy

Your Data Belongs in Your Home, Not in the Cloud.

Our Privacy Philosophy

At Crafted Home Tech, we believe true data privacy requires data sovereignty. We build local, private infrastructure specifically to help families reclaim ownership of their personal files, media, and digital boundaries from public corporate clouds. Because our entire business model is designed to keep your private data safely inside your own home, we hold ourselves to the highest standards of transparency and technical integrity.

Key Commitments to Your Sovereignty

  • No Data Access or Interception: We design, physically install, and optimize your local storage arrays and media servers, but we do not have access to your files. Once your system is configured, your data resides entirely on hardware located inside your home and remains accessible only to you and your authorized family members.

  • No Backdoors or Retained Credentials: We do not install administrative backdoors into your network architecture, routers, or storage vaults. Any temporary passwords or operational credentials created during the initial construction and white-glove setup phase are completely handed over or purged from our devices upon project completion.

  • Zero Monetization or Data Tracking: We are an independent residential systems engineering firm. We do not track your network traffic, index your media library, or analyze your family photo metadata. We do not - and will never - sell, rent, or trade your personal information, contact details, or home network configurations to any third party.

  • Confidentiality of Network Architecture: The physical layout of your home network, your custom IP assignment sheets, your isolated smart-home network maps, and your device configurations are treated as strictly confidential business property. This data is handled in accordance with professional IT security practices to ensure your digital layout is never exposed.

What We Collect (And Why)

To run our business transparently, we only collect standard operational business details necessary to communicate with you and complete your projects:

  • Contact Information: Your name, email address, physical service address, and phone number, which you provide voluntarily when requesting a quote or booking a consultation.

  • Service History: Invoice records, hardware purchase receipts for your specific builds, and custom documentation or tutorials provided directly to you for your home's long-term maintenance.

Third-Party Infrastructure Notes

When we install enterprise-grade hardware (such as Synology, Plex or Ubiquiti UniFi systems), those specific manufacturers may require you to set up an account to manage your remote access features, firmware updates, or hardware warranties. We will guide you through configuring these accounts directly, ensuring you retain full management control and clear visibility over what those platforms can see.

Direct Contact

If you ever have an inquiry regarding how your local home system is secured, or if you wish to review the operational business contact information we have on file for your service account, you can reach the founder directly via the contact details provided at project commencement.
